The new Ascension Parish Courthouse houses the current and future requirements of the Ascension Parish Clerk of Court, Ascension Parish Court, and the 23rd Judicial District Court. In addition, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Gonzales Police Department have a Fines Collection station located near the Parish Courtroom.
The three-story building, delivered under the Construction Management at Risk (CMaR) process, has a total of eight courtrooms and provides the highest levels of security with clear separations of public areas, Judges’ chambers, and secured inmate areas.
