This project was the construction of a new 1.3 MGD Water Treatment Plant for Cecilia Water Corporation. It involved major earthwork to create a retention pond and underground concrete brine waste structure. The excavated material was used to fill the plant site.
Major items on the project included a 500,000 gallon prestressed concrete tank for potable water storage, two raw water wells 185 feet deep, a 20,000 gallon pressure tank, chlorine building, chemical feed system, and generator. The water treatment building consisted of a 3750 SF metal building with interior masonry for office, restroom, and storage areas. The building contains two pressure filters and water softeners, high service pumps, air compressor, SCADA System, and MCC Unit. Chemical feed systems were installed for chlorine, ammonium, and potassium permanganate. Underground pipe was installed for water service, chemicals and site drainage.
