This project is located within the Churchill Downs Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is an operating facility that mostly features horse racing and the annual Music Festival known as Jazz Fest. This scope of work involved installation of storm drainage pumping and piping systems designed to separate the storm water from animal and human waste which was getting mixed and transported to the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board treatment facilities. This required demolition & replacement of existing pavement, new drainage structures, new piping systems and an effluent pump station with one new 24” diameter pump. The work was accomplished in a narrow time window from June 1, 2022 to October 31, 2022.
