This project serves as an enabling project for the future realignment of Taxiway F between Taxiway B and Taxiway L at Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT). Phase I reconstructed the existing Taxiway F between Runway 4L and Taxiway B. The future realignment will create a full-length parallel taxiway for Runway 4L-22R. The scope of this project includes construction of a new segment of Taxiway F from Taxiway L to outside the Taxiway Object Free Area (TOFA), reconstruction and realignment of proposed Taxiway L between the existing Taxiway L pavement and the GA apron, and installation of a drainage system and outfall structure to serve the new Terminal Apron Expansion, GA Development, and future Taxiway F. This project also includes airfield pavement markings, removal and installation of airfield lighting and signage, relocation of existing Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR), Instrument Landing System (ILS), and Runway Visual Range (RVR) cables, installation of a new ASR/NAVAIDs duct bank, installation of a new fire hydrant, AOA fence installation, and installation of a blast fence with obstruction lighting, grading, and site restoration.
