The project scope included the removal and relocation of 67,000 cubic yards of sludge. Excavation of approximately 80,000 cubic yards from the existing pond bottom and moved to raise the site for the new WWTP. Conversion of ten-acre portion of an existing sewer pond into a New 3 MGD WWTP. Shaping and grading the excavated areas to form a new aeration basin which uses twelve new surface aerators. Basins are lined with 130 pound rip rap and partitioned with curtains to form four separate cells.
The new WWTP includes cast in place concrete influent structure, outfall structure, chlorine contact chamber, effluent pump station, and flow meter vault.
New headworks is a structural steel structure using static screens to separate the solids from the wastewater stream.
